πŸ“° Schoen started his pre-draft press conference thanking the staff. "There's a lot of people involved" in the process.

πŸ“° The Giants are "in a pretty good spot" eight days away from the draft. "We have a process in place that we believe in."

πŸ“° How important is it to take a QB at some point in the draft? Schoen said it's "not mandatory"due to the free agent signingsof Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. He likes the makeup of the room.

πŸ“° Schoen said there is "depth" to this quarterback class. They will take one "if the board lines up" but they're not backed into a corner.

πŸ“° The Giants haven't make a decision on fifth-year options yet for Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal. That will likely come after the draft. The deadline for clubs to exercise fifth-year options for players selected in the first round of the 2022 draft is May 1.

πŸ“° Neal will do whatever helps the Giants. He's motivated and is having a good offseason, according to Schoen.

πŸ“° The Giants will have a medical meeting tomorrow on Penn State edge defender Abdul Carter. "I don' think there's going to be much room for pause there."

πŸ“° Heisman trophy Travis Hunter is a "unique individual." Usually if a guy can't catch, he moves to DB, but he can do it all. "He's motivated to play both ways." Schoen said you always worry about the length of a season but thinks he can do both physically. Learning both playbooks is also a challenge.

πŸ“° "We like our secondary right now" so they would not be afraid to play Travis Hunter on both sides. "I wouldn't doubt the kid."

πŸ“° On what leadership means at the quarterback position, Schoen said it's the ability to motivate and get people to follow. "You're the face of the franchise."

πŸ“° "We'll be open to all options" in terms of trading up and down. "We've received some calls."

πŸ“° Schoen: "We like our options. We like who will be there."

πŸ“° Schoen said there are a lot of "respectful debates" in the draft room if they love two players at different positions. This week and next are about figuring out the discrepancies. They're going to "run out the shot clock" leading up to next Thursday night.
