Fantasy Football: Who to start in your Week 6 lineup

The start 'em, sit 'em recommendations you need to build the perfect fantasy lineup.

Will McFadden

Throughout the season, I'll help you build the perfect lineup and become a league legend. Each week, I will recommend three starters at each position as well as two sleepers in matchups I really like. I will also spotlight one Falcons player in each section.

It's not all too difficult to tell someone to start Bijan Robinson or Josh Allen on any given week, and I assume everyone reading this right now would already know to do so. Therefore, I'll try to focus these recommendations on players who might be on the starting or flex bubble.

Running backs to start in Week 6

Rachaad White vs. San Francisco 49ers

In his first game as the Bucs' lead back, White was spectacular. Bucky Irving is likely to miss at least one more game, meaning you should feel confident plugging White into your lineups for this matchup.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt vs. Chicago Bears

It's been a slower start to Croskey-Merritt's season than many expected before the year started, but Week 5 looked like a breakthrough. He should continue to get starter-level volume, and this game could become a shootout.

Michael Carter at Indianapolis Colts

Carter was the next man up for Arizona at running back last week, and there's a good chance things will remain that way. Even though this game against the Colts could limit the ground opportunities, Carter should see plenty of action.

Sleeper startChase Brown at Green Bay Packers

This could easily backfire and is a pretty big gamble. But I think the Bengals would be smart to lean on their run game to help Joe Flacco in his first start, so it's more a volume play than anything else.

Sleeper startTreVeyon Henderson at New Orleans

The door is wide open for Henderson; he just has to walk through it.

Falcons spotlight Bijan Robinson vs. Buffalo Bills

The Bills are right near the middle of the pack in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Robinson is not a middle-of-the-pack running back, however, and could put together something akin to Derrick Henry's performance against Buffalo in Week 1.

Wide receivers to start in Week 6

Tet McMillan vs. Dallas Cowboys

According to DVOA, the Cowboys had theeighth-worst pass defense since 1978through the first four games of the 2025 season. This could be a big game for McMillan, who feels poised for a breakout.

Xavier Worthy vs. Detroit Lions

Worthy is probably already in plenty of starting lineups, but if he's not, go ahead and correct that. He's yet to really provide big returns, but that could easily change this week in a premier matchup.

Devonta Smith at New York Giants

The Eagles' offense feels radioactive right now for fantasy purposes, but at least Smith had some success against Denver. He should have more success against the Giants' pass defense.

Sleeper startCalvin Ridley at Las Vegas Raiders

The theme for receivers this week is winnable matchups. Las Vegas is giving up the fourth-most points to the position, and Ridley is coming off his best game of the year.

Sleeper startRomeo Dubs vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Green Bay may not need to throw the ball in this one as many times as it did against Dallas, but it's hard to look past his three touchdowns the last time out.

Falcons spotlight Drake London vs. Buffalo Bills

It's possible Atlanta will be without Darnell Mooney in a game that could turn into a shootout. London should be involved early and often.

Tight ends to start in Week 6

Darren Waller vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Three touchdowns in his first two games back has me buying all of the Waller stock available.

David Njoku at Pittsburgh Steelers

Even with Harold Fannin Jr. eating into his target share, Njoku is a factor in the Browns' offense and has a good matchup.

Mason Taylor vs. Denver Broncos

Taylor's target count has increased each week, and he saw a team-high 12 passes thrown his way against Dallas. The chemistry between Justin Fields and his rookie tight end feels real.

Sleeper startTheo Johnson vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Speaking of chemistry, I love the way Jaxson Dart looks at Johnson when the Giants are in the red zone. Three touchdowns in two weeks is no joke. If you need a high-upside dart throw, this is a good one.

Sleeper start Jake Tonges at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tonges is another tight end who has found the end zone three times this season, and he's got a winnable matchup ahead of him.

Falcons spotlight Kyle Pitts vs. Buffalo Bills

Pitts has been sharp to start the year, and he's coming off a performance that should build his confidence. The Bills are giving up the second-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends, however.

Quarterbacks to start in Week 6

Caleb Williams at Washington Commanders

This is as much a bet that Ben Johnson will have something fun cooked up after the Bears' bye week as it is that Williams will continue his streak of alternating hot-and-cold performances.

Bo Nix at New York Jets

The Jets aren't the same defense they've been the last few years and opposing quarterbacks have had success against them. Although Nix has been a little underwhelming so far, he's shown signs that a step forward could be coming.

Matthew Stafford at Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are in a spiral right now, and Stafford should benefit. Los Angeles is a well-run group that will have a good game plan against a beatable defense. Although he's not a runner in any form, Stafford could put up multiple touchdowns in this one and have a big day.

Sleeper start Bryce Young vs. Dallas Cowboys

If I'm predicting Tet McMillan will have a big game against the league's worst defense, let's go ahead and give his quarterback a recommendation as well.

Sleeper start Kyler Murray at Indianapolis Colts

After their inexplicable loss last week, expect the Cardinals to be locked in for this one. It could be Murray's best game of the season.

Falcons spotlight Michael Penix Jr. vs. Buffalo Bills

The Bills have been stingy against quarterbacks so far this season, but Penix is coming off his best game of the year and has the talent to beat tight windows. If the Falcons can protect him, he should be able to find options downfield.
