NFL teams looking for a pass rusher might look Dallas' way, as the Cowboys are making defensive end Everson Griffen available, according to multiple media reports.

The Cowboys are 2-5, although that is enough to have them tied for second in the weak NFC East, a half-game behind the first-place Philadelphia Eagles.

The league's trade deadline is Nov. 3.

Finding a taker for Griffen, a four-time Pro Bowl selection who has 77 sacks in 11 NFL seasons, could save the Cowboys about half of the $6 million he is owed from the one-year contract he signed in August, according to NFL Network.

Griffen, 32, spent his first 10 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. A fourth-round pick in the 2010 draft out of Southern California, he has played in 154 games, making 88 starts. He has 89 tackles for loss and nine forced fumbles.

In playing 56 percent of the Cowboys' defensive plays, Griffen has 20 tackles, six quarterback hits and 2.5 sacks this year.
